Half Pipe Skateboard Ramp

Several years ago, the neighborhood crew got together to build this ramp. My husband was the supervisor, contractor, purchaser, etc. It has served the neighborhood boys well, but they have moved on to new hobbies.

Last weekend, Tony and Will removed wood that had been damages from drop-ins. New wood was screwed in place. A coat of primer and two coats of exterior paint will seal the ramp.

This is the drop-in end of the half pipe.
Coping prevents boarders from rolling in before they are ready.

To put it in perspective, this is the same view with the skateboard at the top.
The height of this end is 4 feet.

The sturdy handrails help prevent skateboarders from unintentional flight.

This is the structural view under the drop-in end.

This end is half drop-in and half roll-in. The drop-in is 4 feet high. the roll-in is 5 feet high.

Different view of the same end.

This view is from behind the drop-in/roll-in.

This shows the structure underneath the drop-in/roll-in end.

The ramp comes apart and can easily be transported in 3 sections.

The wheels under each end make moving this ramp much easier.

To prevent any damage from the weather, we are keeping the half pipe covered with tarps

and adding weights to keep them from blowing away.

Got questions, send us an e-mail. We would love for it to be at your house!
